The Story

According to legend, Viracocha, the creator, brought forth Inti, the sun god, and Mama Quilla, the moon goddess. Their children – four sons and four daughters, the Ayar – were tasked with guiding the first clans and teaching them the knowledge of civilization. As they traveled across the mountains, each Ayar met their fate, until only two remained to found Tawantinsuyu: the Inca Empire.
