Game of social deduction
The year is 1947, and you are part of the bustling Hollywood movie industry. But rumors abound: Communists are suspected of infiltrating your small studio, sneaking “un-Patriotic” themes, props, and lines into your films. Can you root them out before the studio shuts down—or will suspicion fall on you?
Each player secretly plays as a Patriot, Communist, or Rising Star. Every round, players take on unique jobs (Screenwriter, Director, Actor, etc.), influencing which cards enter play and what information is revealed. Players may instead re-roll dice to sway the outcome. At the end of each round, cards are added into the movie, and the team with the majority of revealed symbols wins the round.
Hollywood 1947 is a game of social deduction. You may never reveal your cards or loyalty, but you can say whatever you like—truth or lies. Patriots must uncover the infiltrators, while Communists and the Rising Star manipulate, bluff, and deceive to claim victory!
