Rush M.D. is a real-time cooperative game that simulates the stressful nature of medical professions. The players form a medical team and try to admit, diagnose and treat the various patients. To make everything run efficiently, they have to join forces.
Worker placement game with hourglasses
In the game Rush M.D. each player manages a 'doctor'. This is an hourglass that walks through the hospital, taking in patients, providing medical care, performing surgery and taking exams.
In addition, there are 4 'nurses'. These are hourglass figures that all players may move. The nurse figures provide medicines and equipment to conduct investigations.
Moving the hourglasses is a very refreshing game element. An hourglass that is placed somewhere may only be moved back when the sand has completely run through. Because of this, you always have to think carefully about what the most interesting action is.
Time pressure game
The game Rush M.D. consists of 4 rounds of 4 minutes each. That means you only have 16 minutes in total. The pressure is high because human lives have to be saved. Can you handle the rush?
