Scholars of the South Tigris is a standalone game in the South Tigris trilogy. The game is set during the height of the Abbasid Caliphate, circa 830 AD. The Caliph calls on the sharpest minds to acquire scientific manuscripts from around the known world.
In the game Scholars of the South Tigris, players try to increase their knowledge and influence. They hire linguists to translate scrolls into Arabic. They earn points by translating scrolls, by increasing knowledge of science and math, by influencing three guilds and by retiring translators after years of loyal service.
Each turn, players make difficult decisions and map out their strategic path.
The Scholars of the South Tigris game also includes a solo mode.
