The SIXI Cube Puzzle was designed by Vaclav Obšivac, widely known as Vinco, a Czech puzzle designer with a strong background in geometric design. Born in 1962, Vinco developed an early fascination with symmetrical forms, particularly when crafted from beautiful types of wood. His passion for puzzle making truly took shape in 1999 after participating in the World Puzzle Championship in Brno, Czech Republic.

Inspired by the pioneering work of designers such as Stewart T. Coffin, Tom Lensch, Philippe Dubois, Pelikan Puzzles, and others, Vinco began creating and producing a wide range of mechanical puzzles. His designs include both packing puzzles and interlocking constructions, most of which are based on coordinated movements, where multiple parts must move together in precise sequences.

The SIXI Cube is one of Vinco’s more accessible interlocking puzzles and serves as an excellent introduction to his design philosophy. Despite its clean and minimal appearance, subtle mathematical and mechanical principles are embedded in the construction, ensuring a puzzle that remains engaging and deceptively challenging.
