Develop cities, recruit skilled captains, trade valuable goods and export resources across the seas. Every decision shapes your destiny as you seek to become one of only two victorious players.

Serve the Crown or Support the Pirates

The island is caught between two powerful forces. The Crown seeks to maintain order through its emissaries, while a growing pirate rebellion threatens its authority. Throughout five rounds, you must carefully pursue your ambitions while keeping your true loyalties hidden.

Will you earn the title of Governor by serving the Crown, or will you rise through the ranks of the rebellion to become the feared Pirate King? Managing your reputation with both the authorities and the people is essential, as upsetting either side can jeopardize your chances of success.

A Unique Game with Two Winners and Two Losers

Unlike most strategy games, Tea & Rum features an original end-game objective. At the conclusion of the game, only two players emerge victorious: the new Governor and the new Pirate King. The remaining players suffer defeat.

This unusual victory condition creates constant tension and player interaction, as alliances shift and competitors attempt to conceal their ultimate goals.

Worker Placement and Resource Management Combined
