Mix of Stratego and Chess

Volto is a game for two players in which chess and stratego game mechanics are used originally together. The battle is on to become the next Doge of Venice.

In the game Volto, each player has 10 game pieces, either red or white. These are the player's relatives. Each family member has its own way of moving and/or attacking. This property can be read on the back. So only the player who is the head of the family sees which family members are positioned where.

There are three ways to win/lose the Volto game:
- A player hits with his king to the other side.
- A player captures the king of his competitor.
- One of the players loses his second queen.
